Prom Night

Will you look at these two studs? Tonight is prom night here, (yes, I know, it is VERY late for prom, but that's the way it goes this year), and I had a mini session with brothers Jack and Cole before they met up with their dates.

Soon...

I had a maternity session last night with a fabulous (and beautiful) couple who are expecting their first child in about a month. We had a great time and I can't wait to show them the rest of their photos!!

Kayleigh

Some of you may remember my friend Heather from her bridal portraits about a year and a half ago. She and her husband Jimmy had their first child, a little girl named Kayleigh, on May 6th. This was a very bittersweet occasion for the family because Heather's mom Theresa died a week later from MS and never got to see her first grandchild. Our visit happened to coincide with her memorial service, and I was very glad that we were able to be here to hear all the great stories and reflections on her life and to say goodbye. I first knew her as my friend's mother, but as I got older, I came to see her as more than that, and admired her example as a wife and mother. She was a regular reader of this blog and left comments often. I know she would have been tickled to see her own granddaughter here.

She will be missed.

Leavin on a Jet Plane

Today William and I flew to Lubbock to visit Grandma and Grandpa Beale one more time before they move. I'd like to say I got a pic of his first plane ride, but this is his second. The first time around I was just concerned about getting from point to point without having an hysterical child.

7 Months

William is 7 months already! He is sitting up and has two teeth. I didn't take any photos specifically for this month, but here are a few from his first dip in the pool last weekend...

..obviously it will take a little time to get used to...

Finally some comfort from Yaya...

Sierra

Don't you love Texas cowgirls? I had what will probably be my last senior session for the class of 2008 this afternoon with Sierra. I had some new photo ideas and a couple new locations to check out and she was the perfect model!

Sierra is big time into volleyball, so we snapped a few shots with all her medals...

Here she is with her younger sister Cheyenne who also got in on the picture-taking action a bit...
